{S:X;X;0;0;This directory contains an example of the LOOKUP() function provided by Fireworkz Pro's database.}
{S:X;X;0;1;This example looks up details about a music album given a key reference number, so that details on that album need only be entered once. The file 'albums' is a plain text file, with TABs separating columns of data. The first row of this file gives the field names that correspond to each column. The file database_f has four fields, only two of which can have data entered in them - track and source. The latter is used as the key into the albums database for the other two fields which contain formulas:}
{S:X;X;0;2;LOOKUP(FILE"albums",'source',2){ITT-X}returns column #2 from albums where the 'source' field matches}
{S:X;X;0;3;LOOKUP(FILE"albums",'source',3){ITT-X}returns column #3 from albums ...}
{S:X;X;0;4;Note that the field must be named identically in both databases for the lookup to work.}
